Returns are only accepted on New and unused items.  Returns must be initiated within 30 days of receipt.  Please do not send broken rods for return or exchange- Use the Warranty Program or the “My Bad” program.

Reel Warranty Policy:

We warrant that our reels will be free from defects in material or workmanship for the period of one year from the date of purchase. Abuse, improper use, dirt, rust, normal scratching or wear marks will not be covered under this warranty policy. Warranty Service does not include cleaning. Please be sure to register your product on our website. A receipt from a Critical Fishing Authorized Retailer is a requirement for warranty claims. Claims without proof of purchase will not be accepted, unless approved by the returns department.

“My Bad” – Reel Replacement:

Our “My Bad” replacement policy is valid for 5 years from date of purchase. This policy allows the purchaser to request a replacement reel due to accidental damage caused by any number of issues- including ran over in my driveway (yes it happens, trust me). This allows the purchaser a 1-time replacement of the covered reel for $39. This covers the reel and shipping charges in the continental USA.

“My Bad” Replacement program can be initiated by simply taking a photograph of the covered rod or reel and emailing with a picture of your receipt information or your name, address, and phone number if you registered your product online.  Email to Warranty@criticalfishing.com

Rod Warranty Information

Valid Warranty Claims: Breakage due to material, or craftsmanship.

 We warrant that our rods will be free from defects in material or workmanship for the period of one year from the date of purchase. Abuse, improper use, dirt, rust or normal scratching or wear marks will not be covered under this warranty policy. Please be sure to register your product on our website. Registration or a receipt from a Critical Fishing Authorized Retailer is a requirement for warranty claims. Claims without proof of purchase will not be accepted, unless approved by returns department. 

Please understand rods are not indestructible and must be used fairly to the type of fishing they were designed for.  

Shipping Policy:  If your rod broke because of material, or craftsmanship it will be replaced quickly and at no charge other than the shipping and handling. 

Rod Guides Policy:  Broken/missing guides are not covered under the Critical Fishing Warranty Program. Guides are inexpensively and quickly replaced at most quality fishing tackle shops.

Processing: Please allow 3-5 business days to process the warranty and additional 5-7 business days for shipment.

“MY BAD” Rod Replacement program:

You broke your rod and need a new one. Our “My Bad” replacement policy is valid for 5 years from date of purchase. Accidents happen and this program is designed to get a new rod back in your hands A.S.A.P.!  

Car doors, hatches, ceiling fans, lost receipts, even rods ran over in the driveway. We know most breaks are not defects, and we believe you should have an option to replace your Critical Fishing rod at a reasonable price.  

Registration or a receipt from a Critical Fishing Authorized Retailer is still a requirement for “My Bad” replacement claims. Claims without proof of purchase will not be accepted, unless approved by returns department.
